American chopper show is history

I guess its the end of the road for the Teutal gang.
Goodbye to the fights, fun, and gaudy bikes so now
the lawsuits and backstabbing will continue without the cameras:

Heather and I used to watch Season One religiously - we admired the abilities of Jr. and Vinnie, and the old man was a novelty. Season two started, and the Old Man never matured beyond the bully he is, plus they started having the weekly family trips to bond and make up for all the crap in the shop - we didn't care for that. We tuned out then and haven't seen a single show since. I'm surprised it went this long.

Too bad about the lawsuits - nobody lives forever, and it's too bad some families feel the need to fight so much in the short time they are alive.

I used to watch too when the show first started and really enjoyed it. Eventually my interest tapered off and I stopped watching when Vinnie wasn't on anymore. The show ran it's course, no loss in my book.

Hopefully Vinnie and Cody keep it real and stay grounded, doesn't look like a problem as they seem extremely modest.

Looking at the black eye, the fellow asked "What happened to you?"

"I was talking when I should have been listening" was then anwer that came back.

I've always had a lot of respect for people who are good listeners and don't like to listen to themselves talk.

I think the opinion throughout is that the show was going downhill when Vinnie left, he was smart and knew when to get out...can you imagine the drama going on behind the scenes that dont get aired LOL!!

Then once Jr. quit/got fired whatever you wanna call it, the bikes turned into production junk with zero flare, which ironically enough was the exact opposite of what put them on the map-being extremely artistic/out of the box....

Too bad things turned out like they did, so goes a typical family business, but obviously Sr. is the main jackazz, already had a split with his oldest son, now his selffishness and inability to be a parent (all the back stabbing his did about Paul and Mike on camera)...well, I honestly dont see this company being around much longer at all. No Jr. to design and built one off creations, no TV to give buyers the national/worldy exposure...just makes them a typical rum dumb bike shop...I wont miss:

Sr.- "Ricker, grab a stock frame. Then go grab a stock tank, stock fenders, grab those stock bars, bolt them on, stick a logo on it and there's their custom bike"

or his terrible terrible ability to speak, and how stupid he sounds explainging a custom bike which he knows NOTHING about

Sr- "Well ahhhhhhh, ahhhhh, we ahhhhhhh, we made ahhhh custom gas tank an ahhhhh, well there's ahhh alot of ahhhh llittle details on this bike. I ahhhh really had ahhhh fun building this bike with so and so, and ahhhh this is probably the ahhhh most completicated ahhh bike we've ever built.

Good bye, good ridence, bout 2 seasons too long already.

It started as a great show. Really inspiring that this small steel company built by Sr. could become the custom shop that it was. Then it turned, as if the show was being directed. I can just see the director now:

"Paul Sr. - act like a tough guy. Make sure you let the world know that you are going to stuff your size 12 boot up some's butt if they don't do what you say"

"Paul Jr. - act like a spoiled brat and don't do anything your father tells you to do. Be the rebel."

"Mike - act like a monkey. Throw feces if you have too."

"Vinnie, Cody and Rick - Someone actually needs to build the bikes. Get to work."

Each episode of each season seemed to have to top the last for "outrageousness". It really seems like The Discovery Channel got a director from one of those stupid MTV reality shows to "punch it up" for more viewer drama. Sucked the life out of a good concept. Or maybe it was them...

I think all things considered it ran a long time....I agree it has run its course,I stopped watching after my brother left...6 yrs aint to bad for a reality series,IMO.

I remember when it was just an idea, and a couple of pilots being shot,no one had any idea what was in store for here, and OCC.Im very glad its over,I think its been hurting the area economy (outside of OCC) themselves, and 2-or 3 little eateries nearby, the whole thing just created a traffic nightmare on a daily basis, lots of trash along the main roads, cars wandering around, not knowing where they are going, looking for factory st,or Rock Tavern....ppl werent buying anything locally outside the OCC store, they just wanted to use bathrooms at all the local businesses, and get directions....all this because the occ store was too cheap to provide bathrooms to its customers, yet the advertised and drew from CT,PA,and NJ areas for there bike events, and such...

I dont know of anything set in stone, and contracted than throttle junkies, and even that is not a clear cut show as far as content, and air time...even if I did,I would need to get permission to pass it along...

I could never understand why anyone would buy a bike from them. There are so many better shops out there to buy from. I'm sure this is why Vinny left.
The SR vs JR thing was fine for a little bit but grew old. I'm sure they made tons of money on it and I would have done the same thing.

Yes, if you go to www.vforcecustoms.com there is a list of stations that will be airing it.

Since i know iam not saying anything that isnt public knowledge on Cody you can google it yourself i will. Cody is asking for the bike he and SR built for him back some time ago it looks to be a case that Cody will win will see but if you remember for the whole world to see he Sr gave that bike to Cody.

Theres alot that went on that soured me to the show i dont feel privy to share since its not been made public but i have no respect for a company that treats the very people that helped keep them on the air, and build a quailty show in the begining of the series. Greed got the best of them and although i wish no bad to anyone OCC is gonna have to learn to earn there money minus the show , there entering a market that is not doing well right now with the econm and thats a hell of a building to make strokes on without a tv presents.

Fred you said a mouth full, and you i don't find it really hard to belive and i'm sure if the walls hard ears we would not like what we would hear. They where lucky in both ways of creating a different bikes and getting to do the thinks they got to do and the places they where able to go in such a short time . and you know there are alot of other guys that make some really nice bikes that don't get the notoriety (exposure) that they got.

This is so true...I still think the best built bikes, and the most incredible ones, are not built in shops, but built in garages by bikers who have a passion for building there own bikes....so many of these bikes have details, and work that cannot be accomplished in a bike shop in most cases,as it simply takes too much time....and time is money, its a the labor of love from the builder.

You could tell the show was going to hell fast when during the first half of the season when Sr and his side show helper went to unvailings and people asked where Jr. and Mikey were.

Sr. is so stuck on the "I" in hImself it is not funny! Look how he treated Mikey when he entered rehab and never went to any of his art shows either. How could a father do that to his kids? He should have embraced both of his kids in their off show activities. He should be proud of them instead of sticking his nose up in the air ...no his middle finger up to them. And to have a show where he would cry over his dog instead of helping and being there for Mikey when he needed it the most really pissed me off! And the show where they pulled the stickers of the two off the trailer too.....to see Sr. and his side show clowns disrespect Sr.'s kids and him laughing his ass off about it....turned my stomach! That little drafting kid I hope he goes down the toliet with Sr. too! I cant stand that kid!

As our kids hockey coach tells them everytime they are in the lockerroom......"There is no "I" in team!" And the OCC company may have started with Sr. but it took his kids to help him bring it into the light and make it a show that I enjoyed watching. The last season it was really sad to watch. It tuned into one I used to laugh when I watched into on that I could watch at 12:30PM everyday on the Young and the Restless!

I hope Pauly Jr. and Mikey do well in their life as for Sr. I could care less about.

Vinnie and Cody did the smart thing...they left before things got really bad and for that I wish them all the best with everything they do.

And John you can tell them I said so!

The first season I watched their show every week. But it got old fast. I don't think after the first season that there was any "reality" in the show anymore. The fights and arguements were all staged. The only ones doing the work was Vinie, Cody and Rick. It got to be a show of bickering rather than a show about their creatvity in building bikes. You really can't fault OCC, they were giving TLC what they wanted and that was ratings. They road the money train as long as possilble and gained a "famous" status. Unfortunatly for them, it oftens ends in trouble with lawsuits and hardfeelings. Great for Vinnie and Cody, who actually came out of it with their own shop, doing what they love to do. My hat is off to those guys. If they do a show for tv, i hope they are able to "keep it real".
