All lights flash on Pistol grip Controller

I have noticed something strange with my meyer pistol grip controller. What makes all the lights flash on the controller? I noticed that it only does this when I open the door and get out of the truck, to do something and leave the controller on, with the truck running. When i get back in the truck all the lights will be flashing and to correct this, all i do is push the power button and everything is fine again. This only happens when the temps drop under 20 degrees or its really windy. Seems like the controller gets really cold when the door of the truck opens and causes this. Anyone else notice this happening? been like this for two seasons or since new.
I checked everything over including the wiring and still can't find a problem, its alomost like the controller looses power and then gets it back real quick. But it doesn't happen when its being used. I know this is wrong but i have it wired into the side fuse box and its connected to a constant on circuit, I believe its called Accessory 2 circuit. I always make sure i shut the power off on the controller, when its not in use. I couldn't find a keyed circuit to connect to when I installed the plow. Could this be my problem?

Sure sounds like it is losing power at some point. I piggy back with a fuse tap on the blower motor if I can't find a key on spare, or the power window feed. There is a link to the fuse taps I use on the Smith Brothers site, and they are in our store. As far as I know only losing power will cause it to blink.

Try a different circuit and see what happens. I had one I wired once that worked great, but float would cause the trouble light to flash. I moved the feed, and all was well.

I'll try moving the wire to the power window circuit. I'm not sure what the rear aux 2 circuit powers on my truck(standard cab)? I'll let you know if that helps. Gm made it a pita to find a switched circuit on these new trucks. Thank You

On a 2010 GMC 3500 I picked up a key on circuit below the e brake pedal, where the relays are... There were some spare relay slots.
