Amber led strobe placement laws in ILL

Could anyone please tell me what the laws are in downstate Illinois regarding the placement of amber led strobe lights like the state plow trucks have. I bought 4 of them from China on eBay and plan on putting two on each corner of the truck front and back but want to check out the legality before I install them.

Welcome to LTS! I'm just a bit southeast of you in Peoria.

Amber can be placed pretty much anywhere. I have two LED's mounted facing out to each side on my toolbox, and two facing backwards. I have two more to install on the front somewhere, probably on the grille or hang them from the mirrors. I'm also running a mini lightbar on the roof.
