Does anyone know the best way to power about 5 strands of Christmas Lights on my truck? My kids want me wire up the wreaths I usually hang on my truck every year - this year with lights!

Is this possible for an amature to do?

Thanks

Nic

Get yourself one of those 12 volt inverters that convert 12 volts dc to 110vac

Depending how far you plan on driving - a few extension cords? J.C. Whitney, on of our sponsors, sells them pretty cheap

Try this link Northern Tools Inverter (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&langId=-1&catalogId=4006970&PHOTOS=on&TEST=Y&productId=200025324&categoryId=92) its a pretty neat little inverter, should do the trick for under $35

Just be careful where you drive with the Christmas lights lit. Technically they are prohibited and if the wrong cop sees you......

Pelicans right, in NY you may display a white or amber light to the front, red or amber to the rear. The white light must be steady burning, not flashing. Any other color is specifically prohibited unless authorized, IE: fire chief, volunteer fireman or EMT.

How does Ruldolph get away with it with the red light in the front?

Flying reindeer are exempt. So, if you have a flying reindeer, just carry a copy of this thread in your sleigh.
