I was wondering does anyone plow with a multi-terrain loader? I just bought a Cat 277 rubber track skid steer. I have only used it in the dirt and was wondering if pavement was hard on the rubber tracks? I would like to put a Blizzard Plow on it. Have a great day Big George

An 8611SS and a skid steer is the ultimate parking lot plowing setup in my opinion for large lot duty. Very versatile and manueverable in many types of situations (loading docks, near islands, high stacking, etc)
In comparision we have run both 8611ss's and pushers on skid steers and I feel that the Blizzard Skid Steer blade is 10 times more productive on a skid steer than a pusher with its single function.
As far as rubber tracks. It can be done but I do not know if I would jump on it for the plowing we do...

Take a look at some of my previous posts. We ran an ASV MD2810 with an 8' pusher box and the machine worked great! The tracks were great in the snow, just like in the durt, mud, etc. with the equal ground pressure. I would use it again in a heartbeat!
The asphalt isn't too bad on the tracks in the winter as opposed to the summer when the asphalt is much hotter. You shouldn't have any problems. Like Jay said, look to add the 8611SS, or depending on what you're doing with it, a large snow bucket or pusher box.
Good luck.

Not only is there the temperature difference, but you also have the snow and ice acting as a lubricant for the tracks. You shouldn't have any concern about excessive track wear.

Thank You for the imput. The Blizzard with my Cat 277 will work great with 3 of my accounts. I have been seeing more and more Blizzard plows up here in Chicago. After seeing the job they can do its the only way to go.
