Well got home this morning from Jerre's about 2am was pretty sure we were staying but decided at 730 to run them back.

First it was great meeting Todd and his Brother inlaw Mike met Todd in Toledo about 630 yesterday morning and we followed out there together now at a different time we can talk about what its like waiting for a Cummins to try and stay caught up with a powerstroke :D . Got to Jerre's around 930 and got to meet Everett again and Walt , Everett getting the second LP mount and i am sorry for not taking pics but was early.

My Day started the day before and basiclly got about a 1hrs sleep in Toledo waiting for Todd "Cummins" ,had a great time and glad Everett and Todd are in the Erie Special Group . The Wrecker is finally ready to plow between the 60 restore the 4x4 conversion and two trips back to back at Jerre's i can safley say iam ready for winter but fryed.

Todd thanks for the trip back i know it looked at times like wrecker was using two lanes and had a wild speed control issue up and down "it did "i made it back alot of that was from being able to know those other plow lights were yours iam sure we got alot of weird stares with two blizzards running dam near on the ground arcoss the turnpike and the lady at the toll booth who must of thought something was up when i got stuck in there two tight for Danger wing toll booth lane. I wished we could of got dinner last night but one thing you learn in a hurry driving long hours and little sleep that eating is the kiss of death has it will put you to sleep in a short order. Hope you Guys all made it back safe!!!!!!!

Jerre thanks and hope i dont need to see ya til April.

Well I for one had a good time yesterday ! It sure is fun hangin out with guys with my mentality LOL (My wife doesnt understand). Rolled in around 2:30 am this morning. 26 hour days are a lil rough.

Jerre thankyou for having us. You amazed me on how easy you made all the installs appear to be. Your knowledge of these products is definatly second to no one. You made all 3 installs look like a walk in the park.

Fred, Mike and I agreed we need to start a collection here so you can purchase cruise control. That Cummins just about swallowed up that Powerstroke more then once :wink
Oh and thanks for the heads up on the which fuel to put in the old "DIESEL".

Walt and Everett it was nice to meet you guys, hope you had a good time as well.

Here goes on getting these pics on here. This is Jerre with his favorite tool.

LOL on the cruise control i have it , i honestly started to notice issues before Clevland when you called the fan clutch was driving me nuts at 70 it was so loud with the plow on the front, so speeding up and down allowed the clutch to stay off , it got worse in Mich which i ended up doing about 55 most of the way home, looking into it today the hydro fan clutch is leaking fluid which is why it was kicking in and out so much. It wasnt a good trip home thats forsure lost at least 2hrs due to speed . Glad you guys made it home and yes 24 + hour days hurt real bad the next day.

I guess I wasn't the only one riding around with a plow hitched this weekend. I got a few blank stares as I drove through town with one of the plows hitched while I was moving it from one garage to another from being painted..............

Glad to see you all had fun and made it home safely............

Hey Walt did you happen to bring your John Valby CD's to share with Fred, Todd, and Jerre????

Looks like another fun trip out to Erie. Just a genral question for ya guys. Do you have any worries of over heating while doing highway speeds with that big of a blade on? I know that you keep the plow low to allow more air but I would still think that wold cause some over heating issues. I know that Western says 45mph with the plow on, does Blizzard have anything like that? Again looks great guys.

I have made 4 trips know to Jerre's with blades on i have only had brief incounters with running hot til i got the blades running low enough normally i can run 75 to 80 with no problem , last night i never got hot we straped the defelector down on the blade it was just the noise my fan clutch was making had me really nervous when i say loud that would be a understatememt at times it was so loud it sounded like a jet taking off under the hood, powerstrokes like to run fast there higher rpm engines but between the 488 gears and fan clutch it was just a plain long rotton trip home.

Blizzard says 40mph in there manual.
the Cummins ran great no issues with getting hot. She ran about 10 degree's warmer then usual. It did spike up hot once when we ran up on a semi (must have been the dirty air swirling) . Droped back and hit the defroster (fan kicked on as well) droped right back down. On a side note the fuel mileage was better then when we ran out there. I was not pushing as hard though heading back. Had a lil brain fart friday and forgot about the hour we lost crossing the time zone. I left at 1:15 am should have been 12;15 am lol. You can bet that wont happen again. Thanks for the patience Fred.

Well next year I will have to make the trip out to jerre's with the F-350 dump (8811lp) and hopefully by then I should have my next truck F-350 (810) Should be a 8 hour trip. Dump truck towing the pickup on a trailer. Should be fun.

Todd, Mike, Everett, Walt and Fred,

Thanks for a great weekend. I had a good time too. Everett sold his MVP on return so I think it was good for him too. Walt got his compressor Via the LTS transport service. Thanks to Garagekeeper and T-Zab for there good work. I think Todd would have liked the extra ballast on the way home though. Knowing the way Walt talked he's got it installed at the house already.

Fred thanks for lunch. I really think we should have gone with the cream of Broccoli soup though.

I see Fred and Todd both took picts of me taking a nap under Todd's truck. They should have gotten Mike sleeping in the bed when I hit the impact gun......That was a site to see.

Here's some picts of this weekends adventures. D.J. Vander Slik and company made the trip. The other tall guy is Jeremy (sp) and the famous one from Michigan is Steve.

Lopros on the way back to Michigan for some fun in the snow. I think D.J. took a whole stack of Think Snow stickers so there will be some tagging going on when he get's back.

Sorry the picts aren't as clear as I'd like but there were no shutter bugs here this weekend. D.J. tries to hide from picts. Notice his truck has the plow in the bed and he made Steve drive with one in the front and back

Jerre,

I got home in record time!! As for the other guys I don't know where they are. Probably at some OTB

We had a great time and we all learned a lot about the correct way to install Blizzard plows. You are going to have your hands full when you come to GR to inspect our current set ups.

The 8611LP are awesome and for anyone willing to make the trip I would recommend going to Erie for your plow install.

Jerre thanks again!
