Anyone have the boss plow with HID lights?

Would this system not last long due to the fact that when you operate your plow you draw allot of amps and thus reducing current to the ballast or does the ballast compensate for this?

As a matter of fact, got the Boss 9.2 V with HID last night. So far with a couple hours of try out, I haven’t seen any negative affect using the HID, lights are much brighter and not a problem with the draw. The lights do take some time to warm up but once they are on you see a world of difference (no pun intended).

Awesome i know what you mean.

So far i have spotted A Deer A Cat and some guy on a bike on a side road in the dark at 9pm yesterday *L* He was actauly off his bike stareing at my HID driving lights not haveing a clue. I also had someone follow me yestersay down the same road.

Is it just low beam or high beam as well?

Dave.

Just low beam for HID. When you go to the high beam the HD stays on and a normal high beam goes on as well next to the HID.

Yeah if they did go off and you go to lows you will be int he dark for a litle bit.
Would love to see some beam shots and close up's of the light.

HID's have less draw than halogen - that's one of the big perks. The drawback is the price...
