Will an Ultramount truck side pushbox from a 2002 / 1500 series GM fit on my 2005 / 2500 series GMC? One on e-bay right now. I thikl it might fit. Can't see why it wouldn't, but need to here from someone who knows what they are talking about (not me!!).
Sonjaab, I sent you a PM on this.
Thanks!

John......The number I find for a 1/2 ton mount 02 GM is 67060-1
Seems a 3/4 has a different number..........Hmmmmmm
The 02 wiring harness is a different part # than the one for your truck.
Hopefully Crash will know for sure.................
Its a good deal tho......Note...the plow "horns" are missing..........

John, NOT A CHANCE, wont fit, You need part no 67981, there are 3 versions of this mount, 67981 and 67981-1 will require you to notch the bumper, 67981-2 you dont have to notch the bumper.

Crash....Only the push bar ends are shown, NO center bar connecting
them together or "horns" either............Is the 1/2 ton mount that
much different?
It is on flea-bay item #8003043472

OK Crash and Sonjaab, thanks again. I just might as well say the heck with it and get a new mount. Then I won't need to do the guessing game with the hardware and what-not. That's why I ask you guys!! Thanks for saving me the $$$! Hope I am not bothering you TOO much!

I have not called Jerre yet because I am waiting to hear from the local guy to see what he rounds up. I am supposed to call him tomorrow. I am thinking that if I stick local with the small stuff that this guy will be there when I really need him and something breaks, you know what I mean? He says he has all the electrical components also but he is trying to hook me up with a used mount, so we will see. If he has nothing for me when I call tomorrow my second call will be to Jerre, though. But he is about 350 miles away from me up there in Erie! I usually head up his way every August to play in my softball state championship tournament, so I know ALL about that trip!!

sonjaab,
Yes, the mounts are that much different, I will have to try to dig up a picture to show you one of these days. Western actually started doing away with the cross bar at the front of the mount a few years ago, they found it wast doing anything structurally and just added a few pounds.

Crash....I do know the HD truck frames are a different size.
Thats why no diesel or allie trans. in the 2500 burb, ho's and Avs !
So that explains why the 1/2 push bar won't work.........
You figure the bar would provide strength keeping the frame rails
straight instead of the frame ends swinging in the wind...........
K-dog.........Jerre will ship the harness to ya. At least check the
price and make sure its a module harness....................geo

KDOG......Get your bandwidth over to fleabay.
Check the E-Truck equipments snowplowing store in the ebay stores section. They are advertising a NEW GM 2500 ultramount push bar for $329 bucks plus shipping............................
They also have the other parts ya need...............geo :drinkup

Already seen it there Sonjaab, but thanks for the heads up. If it is the same one I seen they are adding like $79 shipping fees. That makes it not such a great deal anymore. When added together it adds to about the same as dealer cost, so my search continues. I am watching a wiring harness from an "04 GM 2500 HD though. It is from a Fisher, but has the same part # as the one I need. They say it comes off of a dealer demo truck. I have the # and will probably give them a call right away while I am thinking of it! The local guy is till trying to locate a push-box, but no luck yet.
Thanks !

Have not gotten ahold of him yet. I am still trying to wait out until the local guy rounds up the info for me. I rarely get home from work in time to get ahold of Jerre during his business hours. As of now, the harness is not the problem as much as the push-box. The only reason I am still waiting on the local guy is the fact that he will be the one I will call when I get in trouble with either the hookup itself or later on down the road when something breaks and I would like to get that business relationship built up for when I NEED him, know what I mean?
Do you know if all the truckside wiring is the same from Western and Fisher? The Iso Mod # is definetely the same, but not sure on the others. I guess I can search the Fisher website and see what i come up with.

The guy from e-bay I am talking to wants $250 shipped for the entire truckside harness. The Isolation module is slightly used, but everything else will be new. He is a parts dealer in Maine. As I stated I still need to hear from my local dealer and then give Jerre a call also. Oh yeah, the guy from e-bay also told me he might be able to hook me up with a used push-box, but I am not going to hold my breath on that one!!He says he thinks another dealer up there has one from a demo GMC, but he needs to check to see if it is off of a 1500 or a 2500. Maybe if this guy can get me in for around $400 for the whole package I will be right where I wanted to be.

Called Jerre tonight finally. He just got back to me and says he has a used harness, but no push-box. So far I have 3 wiring kits lined up but no mount! I guess I need to just buy a new one and be done with it. Jerre so far is beating the previously mentioned guy from e-bay by about $30. I need to call the local guy and see what his price is. So far for the COMPLETE truckside harnesses---Ebay dude-$250 shipped, Jerre-$200+ shipping(?). I think they are very reasonable prices. About half off of new. What do you guys think?

K-Dog...............I thought a NEW truckside harness w iso. module
is around $275 bucks...............
Or is the iso. module on the plowlight harness?
Hopefully Crash or your local Western dealer knows for sure.........geo

I looked,
suggested list for a harness is $235 new but that only includes the iso mod, the lighting control harness and the long and short headlight harness', you still will need to get the main vehicle control harness, battery cables, and motor solenoid, SO, it sounds like jerre is getting you a pretty good deal.
John, just in case you have to go with the dealer with the take off, it doesnt matter if its a 1500 or 2500.

OK guys, you probably feel like you are talking to a kid here who just won't listen(HA!), so I think you will be happy to know that I FINALLY ordered my wiring harness FROM JERRE. Why didn't you guys tell me about him?
Just kidding. I know you told me OVER AND OVER AGAIN, but I finally listened! Still no luck with the used mount so I just ordered it from the local guy. He is knocking some off of list and getting it to me for $387. Not too bad I guess.
I told Jerre you were all kicking me in the butt to call him! Thanks again guys. I appreciate the help here.
Now when all my stuff gets here and I come looking for installation advice I hope you all can stand me enough to help again!!!
