GTG / BBQ - Orange County, NY October 22nd

Just trying to get an idea of how many would attend a GTG in Orange County, NY. The place is much easier to find compared to Taconic's in Poughkeepsie!

Well, since John Parker is not hosting the BBQ this year, and I for one will surely miss it, I would still like to have a GTG. I have been offered a place not far from Taconic's. At this point, it would just be a GTG, no equipment on display (Other than a Dodge with an 810 and a Sidewing). Weather would have no effect, as there is a tent available, and possibly a barn too. Who knows, it could also be an annual meet. Not sure about hotels in the area, and if anyone wants a hotel room to come down for just one long BS session or not, especially with the price of fuel.

No date set yet, but some time in Oct seems appropriate. The 8th, 15th, or 22nd. A SATURDAY. If it happens, I will be winging it, and I need to get an idea of how many would be interested in attending.

About 70 miles north of NYC. Look up Exit 5 on I84, you'll be just a few miles from there.

I'll try to make it for the 22nd. Already planning to go down to Schenectady on the 8th to bring back a tank of Magic. Also hoping to bring another plower down with me so he can hear the spiel and maybe be converted.

I am going to try my hardest to attend!!! The only other thing I may have going on that weekend is a BBQ @ StJacques here in CT that we attend yearly...

I am gonna hold my maybe spot. I have this weekend to go to Jerres and then next weekend . Iam taking a driver with me this weekend to try and cut down on road driving rash , then next weekend iam gonna meet Todd [Z-Tab] in Toledo and convoy out to Jerres so i still may be ok ill have about two weeks to recoupe before the 22nd. I really hate to wait til april to see everyone and maybe even get to see some guys i dont see in April so Iam gonna try and make it work. Weres the nearest airport to Orange county ?

If you flew into Bradley or New Haven I would gladly drive you up with me Fred!!! Hell I could set you up with a Hotel here near Bill and I and we could go out the rest of the weekend :D haha

Stewart in Newburgh is closest. I fly through their and White Plains often. Much easier then Bradley or NYC airports.

Well, we decided not to have the BBQ. We might still have a GTG at a local place in the same area, but not a BBQ. Maybe the 22nd, the 29th, or even Nov 5th. We'll have to wait and see as it gets closer.
