I am in search of a old truck to make a hot rod out of, do not want to do a resto job cause once you need specific exact parts, the price is in the clouds.

So a hot rod is more in the budget.

So here is the question, these old 1.5 ton trucks, per..30's -50's

Are they the same cab sizes?

Why I ask, the cab will go on a much newer reenfoced frame rather than the one it cam on so the 1.5 ton frame will be no use to me.

Also they are a dime a dozen and cheap most in great shape to start with.

I doubt the cabs are the same size , reason being when i tryed to use a bench seat out of one of my superdutys half of the seat hung out both sides of the door.

A resto is really no more money if your talking about getting a old cab back in shape the money will be the same.

A rough estimate to date on the 60 iam nearing the 10k mark including what i bought the truck for some things iam sure would not have been ness like interior i wanted door panels and a good interior i just ordered 2700.00 interior kit from Roddoors which comes with everything. Has far has frames go i think the frame on the 60 is more stought than my new trucks and the 4x4 is a marmen harrington which they used all top notch parts t- case is two speed and alot of other great stock options.
