Some state DOT have snowplow "roadeos" I know Iowa and Deleware do. Here is somthing I found on the IA roadeo.


DOT SNOWPLOW 'ROADEO' SEPT. 4

AMES, IOWA - Snowplows will be rolling next week as the Iowa Department of Transportation's top 18 drivers from across the state compete in the DOT's Truck Roadeo state finals.

The Truck Roadeo combines annual training activities with competition to improve the winter maintenance and snow removal skills of drivers. There will be seven events duplicating the driving maneuvers and truck inspection activities routinely required of the DOT equipment operators.

The event will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m at the Des Moines North Maintenance Garage, 1530 N.E. 53rd Ave., Des Moines.
