Happened yesterday in the port of Albany(which is about 3-4 miles from me). As of today it's still laying on it's side in the river. The ship was loading up generators(200 tons each) and they figure they messed up on the ballast and got too much weight over to one side of it and over she went.
It's on all of the local news channels and i think the have it on some of the national news broadcasts now too..

I heard about it on news last night too. They continued their coverage on tonight news and they just said that they are now into "recovery" effort instead of "rescue". :(

I am not exact sure with the details, but I read somewhere that they were loading GE generators which weighs at 500 tons, and that as they are lowering the cargo, the ship tipped over.
