how good are these plows? Dose the back dragging suck like as in the fisher like i have heard? Do they scape good? How many people our running these on 1992-1997 hd ford trucks. Mine is a 1997 for 250 hd which is really a 350 so theis truck can handle the weight issue. Which control do you like better for these plow the handheld or just the basic control?

there the best. hands down in my opinion i think that jerre has a used one for sale the trip edge is the only way to go with a v plow

frosties snowremoval thanks i might lean towards the western plow. its between snoway 8'3 vee, boss 8'2 vee or the western vee plow. :burnout

well i can promise you it is better than the boss v plow but i don't no anything about the snoway other than it looks to coplicated from what i remember. the problem with boss is the hole moldboard has to trip and if it is scooped the wings hold them selves up and make nearly impossable to lean forward that is why the western has a trip edge that will tuck up under the plow when struck from the front

I have never used a snoway plow. However, I have used both the boss v and the western v. I personally own a western mvp unimount. As soon as I can be without my truck for a day I am upgrading to a new western mvp with the ultramount. The boss does not have the trip edge. And in my opinion the trip edge is worth having. I think It saves quite a bit of stress on the frame. My vote is for the western. Although If I were closer to Jerres I would definetly :blizzard . Since there are no :blizzard dealers near me the western works great.

I have a five year old MVP uni-mount. It needs to be painted. I let it go for 2500.00 and I be in Erie PA later this month, to have my 8611 lo-pro installed. Let me know if you are interested.

Fred Pickering has a like new 8'6" MVP off a SD Ford, I seen it in Erie,it is like brand new.I dont think it even has 2 seasons on it.You might want to PM him about it,I know he was asking no more than the numbers thrown here, and its perfect. As for your 250HD , it isnt the same as an F350 unless it has a dana 60 front axle.As far as I knew all F250s had the TTB front axle, they are not the best for plowing,in fact they are the worst,it is a very weak axle assembly. If you do have the TTB front end,id reconsider the weight of the plow,or do an axle swap.
