It will take years to equal fisher in sales. Most everyone that looks at my plow thinks it must break all the time and who knows how to fix it, or they know a guy who had problems with his.

I would suggest either listing it here, on Ebay or try your local paper.

If your truck is a crewcab diesel 250, the 810 might be pushing it for weight. If its a gas crew, gas ex-cab or gas-regular, you're good to go... even a reg cab diesel should be ok, but the crewcab diesels are heavy on the front.

For instance, my crewcab 7.3 350 has a 5300# front axle weight rating (even though it has the 6000# springs) and I go about 5350# on the front with my pro-plus, with moderate ballast (700-800#) I *think* the 250s only have 4800# fronts on them. The 8.5 pro-plus weighs 821#.

The 810 weighs in at 950#s, so yes for any crew cab diesel your way over weight. If you look at Blizzards ads there 810 show mobile is a Dodge gasser quad cab, the good news is that is the same truck I own :grinz
Still shopping for the best price in these parts.
Wallace Landscape supply is still listing em at about 4150 no install.

what do you think about an 8611 on a F350 crew cab??

T-Zab
07-02-2005, 09:17 PM
omg I would say holy chit man way over loaded.
8611 ways in at 1470 #s
I think the 810 may be over for that axle with crew cab.
the 8611LO Pro is out but have no specs for it. I bet it would still be to much weight though.

The low pro is 50lbs more than a 810 would be foolish not to go with it if ya want to see pics go to the Jerres 2005 GTG thread i bought the first production low pro and it hard to see buying anymore 810s for my 1 tons.

Note iam not trying to endorse here but just a suggestion for anybody looking for Blizzards see Jerre he is really located in a hub to most of us you will never get the service you get from him iam close to 6hrs away from Erie and i never once felt desprate for help the few dollars in pricing is not even measureable for the support and quailty of his installs plus your helping one of our sponsors and a small bussman that will flat blow the doors off anyone in knowledge ,supportt , and professionalism.

If someone is looking for a Blizzard 810 1 yr old with all of Jerres mods done pm me ill make ya a hell of a DEAL i would switch to all Low pros in a second

I was gonna look at an 8611 LoPro, but if I can get an Erie special with the Pickering package - I'll have to look into that one Fred!

Dave, Lo-pro's are going to be in limited supply so think soon instead of waiting. Erie 1 still needs the manifold flip but could be acomplished before you pick it up. Jerre

Listen instead of doing a bunch of pm replys iam gonna do the deals out right i have had several pm's on the erie specials. Talking to Jerre a older 810 in decent shape used without mount or harness or controller goes for around 2500bucks. Erie1 being the one iam most interested in selling to get another low pro , heres what ill do i have a extra plow mount in Erie talking to Jerre he will let me throw in a mount to fit what ever truck its going on ill throw in the controller you the buyer would have to buy the harness which is around 150.00 bucks.
Erie 1 is going to Jerres to get one trademark mod and some other stuff done ill pay that bill leaving Erie 1 at 3k to include mount and controller you need harness to fit your spec truck.

Jerre is gonna put some prices together and post them on his web page for Erie specials, these are not stock 810s he will list what he does to make them true offical Erie specials trust me the mods that were done and requested by me have been field tested for a full season i would never get a blizzard without Jerre doing what he does to hop them up first.

Erie special came from a old phrase i made after the first trip to Erie working with Jerre on my needs threw out all last season he has custom made these plows from a phrase to what will become a true preformer in plows we get snow up here and after the mods i put Erie1 and 2 threw the test this past season plowing all the way up til late april.

I hope that those of you that are on the fence still in choosing a blizzard will trust my honest reveiws and opinions of these special plows not only are you getting a Erie special your getting the most inportant part of the deal service i would challange any of you to try to get any support at 2am from the cash ncarry blizzard dealer not needing service i have been called and checked on by jerre at 1am to make sure everything is working has designed.

So if you dont buy one of the orginal Erie specials buy a new one Jerre will be offering you wont be sorry After 17yrs in this buss i have never met a person that is totally dedicated to his custs and keeping them up and going.

Dave GMC driver honestly with that nice new truck i hope you go with a low pro more than capable of handling it and i hope you pick Jerre has your dealer you drove less distance than me to the GTG so no biggy on the trip ask John D or Pelican Steve they also have Jerres plows and will attest to his service.

What's the difference between the Erie 1 & 2?

T-Zab
09-03-2005, 01:14 PM
Erie one was Jerre's original modified Blizzard 810. Erie 2 is what is now considered the Erie Special check out Jerre's site it lists all the specs .

Todd,

How many Blizzard Power Plows do you own now?? I lost count as you are such an expert.

I just ordered my third 810, was hoping for a 8611 LoPro but hard to find and I am not going to get left wishing. Dealer support not getting in the way of me "Getting Wide" and I do not have to drive all the way to PA to bennifit from Jerre great advice.

Okay Ron you win. Next time you talk to Jerre tell him to send me my deposit back, I will now be following in your footsteps since your an "expert". Who do I buy from ? When? Can I call them when there closed for help? or should I just call you.
Thanks for your help.
