That's right Capn' , it is a Dixon hull. It is for a fisherman in Antigonish, I live in Pictou, which is about a 45 min drive away. He had a 42 Dixon for the last 10 years and was so pleased with that one he ordered the new 45' hull kit. I did the electrical, hydraulics and interior fibreglass work, etc. He gets approx 17Knots with a 430 Volvo.

I figured it was.Mine is a Seaduck hull, molded by Nickersons in argle sound when it was built IN 1990,i believe R.A.Beleveau Boat Shop in pubnico has the mold now,but mine was finished off at Dixons boat shop. The ole girl is nearly 15 ,next spring i'm hoping i can split and widen her stern, and put a new deck and rails on her,and regelcoat the hull.

Heres a couple shots, not real good though. In one pic its set up for handling gillnets(the high n dry pic)the other its fully rigged for fish or shrimp trawling, that adds about 6 tons of deck gear to the boat.

Hey Capn,
How are the lobsters in maine this season ( I am assuming it is lobster seeason there) . We have had great prices, catches are ok for most of the gulf except for the pugwash/river john area where catches are terrible ( 60lbs is a good day).
I work in the commercial fishing industry here in northern NS, always great to talk, or chat, with someone in the industry.
