Conventional western pro: Will angle almost always when completely down. It almost always won't angle when up (tries to, but can't). Fluid level is fine. Rams are free when not attached to the pump. Any suggestions?

Check your grille connectors. They may be corroded or not making good contact. When you drop the plow,it will sometimes move the connector, and it makes contact.

Also check your pivot bolt.It may be bent, worn,or the a-frame is damaged, binding the plow when it tries to move.

mmwb That's kind of a tough one to give a dirrect answer to without hearing the unit run or feeling the action in the Joy-stick.
Seeing how the power unit does the hardest part lifting the plow, and you say the unit "is" full then I would say you may want to check the following.
1 Cables and their adjustment,
And when the covers are off check to be sure that the screw that retains the lever the cable attaches too onto the shaft end is tight not allowing the the lever to slip.
2 Besure that your don't have too much play in the control handle not allowing the cables to operate to their full needed movement, this does happen more with angling.
3 And may be the first thing to check... "couplers" I have seen all kinds of weird problems caused by couplers that would start to lock up and stop fluid flow at differant times.
Hope this helps you out some.
