"Hainsville woods" by **** Curless. Great old tune that they used to play every storm, but seldom hear now. If you've never actually driven "the woods" in northern Maine, you really can't appreciate it though.

Anything that pumps and kicks- especially at the end of a long run. By the looks of things my runs might be getting longer too!!!!

I was going to put an mp3 player in my truck this year- but funding ran waaaaaayy too short- but medical problems in the family will do that to ya. Things are going better now, and the family issue is doing great ( heart surgery for my youngest son).

Looking forward to a nice long winter- we're off to a ggod start so far!!

Mostly rock and roll loud, but sometimes I like to just sit and listen to the blow blade scraping the ground.

Radio...what radio? :huh My old dodge didnt have a radio, but when I would use my bosses truck I'd have to say rock or country. I like the radio because it keeps me company the jockeys talking and the comercials keep me awake better than cds.

WDVE in Pittsburgh has an evening DJ, Scott Paulsen, who performs a lot of his own material. He has a song, to the tune of "Ghost Riders in the Sky". It's called "All Hail the Snowplow Guy". Great tune! :)

Digger- you've got to get a copy or a link and post it here so we can all hear it! It sounds great! There are a couple that I have heard from Fairwood Banks- like "Wiper Blades" that always make me laugh- he's a regular on the Bob and Tom show- unfortunately they are not available locally so I rarely catch their show- it was great waking up in the morning and be laughing my a$$ off!!!

I am a talk radio junkie . Rush, Sean, Laura , Jay .Howie Carr . I like Rock stations too. But when my blade hits the ground the radio is off . Listening to your plow tells you what is going on

During the early a.m. hours (12-2am) when I've still got energy I like to blare hard rock like ACDC, Rage Against the Machine, etc...
Then as my energy fades I'll more likely turn it down with some Tragically Hip, U2, stuff like that. Finally, if it's a stressful daytime plow or I'm totally bagged, I'll either listen to classical music or turn it off for periods of time altogether. For the most part I just surf back and forth between several radio stations though.

I like to listen to the country stations. Many times they have funny late-night dj's, so it helps pass the time.

I also find myself with the radio off at times, just listening to the snow fall, and the blade scrape and teh rngine roar, even that is soothing :D

You'd make a great schoolbus driver Snowy! Anyone who can here snow falling with the engine roaring has GOT to be able to hear any kid using cuss words while driving a load of screaming kids around. And the blade is scraping too. Wow!!!! Good hearing OR good hearing aids. Name brand please? :) :D

Talk radio sometimes, and 800+ of my no-repeat favorite rock on my iPod pumped through the stereo! What a sweet little gadget!

Gotta have something heavy to keep me going. ACDC's Hell's Bells is one of my favorites. Sometimes it does get to the point where I just have to turn off the radio and enjoy the quiet.

And CCR

LOUD. REAL Loud
Then a little baroque.
