I do not currently own a plow and i have been cruising the site for a few months and have became interested. I was wondering how a Toyota Pickup with the 4cyl 22r engine would handle the snow? I own a bigger pickup, but I am going to be selling it soon. I also have a small wood business going. My friend owns this truck. It is either an 86 or 87, with a wooden bed. The body is in really good shape for the year. If you think this would push good, What size plow would you recommend?
Thanks in advice for your reply.

I have seen a lot of Toyota's on the road rigged with plows. Mostly Meyers plows. 6'6" or 7' wide blades. You don't want to go with something that would be too heavy or wide that would overload the truck.
My main concirn would be the integrety of the truck. You would be starting out with something that is already close to 20 years old. How good is the motor, drive train, and front end components?
Small trucks are great for tight areas like driveways or small parking lots. Large deep lots with heavy snow could possibly be a tough workout for a small truck.
