Hi...

About a month ago the low beams stopped working on my plow. About a week ago the high beams also stopped working. So now I have no lights at all.

I have what I think is a working extra lamp but it did not light up either.

My truck is wired with the plow lights on a three way switch (high beam, low beam or off) and another switch that allows me to turn off the truck's headlights while all other lights (plow, running, marker, tail, etc.) stay on.

Any ideas on what happened or where to start?

Thanks

I am not trying to disrespect you but did you check the bulbs? and check switches that you where talking about might be a bad switch. Any one else got any Ideas?

Also does the other lights that work off the switch for the broken lights do they work?

If the light you think works ( IE spare bulb ) but does not work in plow I would defintely check the switch, and wiring for cracks, broken pieces, etc

why isnt the truck wired to just use the high beam/low beam that you use for the truck headlights? there should just be the small switch that came with your plow, which lets you turn the truck headlights off and the plow lights on. or vice versa.
could be something wrong with one of the switches. i would try and set it up like i explained above. i would also take apart the headlight assembly and the turnsignal assemblies and make sure they are all ok, and not full of moisture or corrosion.

gotta just trouble shoot each thing so you can rule it out from being the problem.

I'd try rewiring the switch, it's probably the source of your problem. Had the same thing happen on an older Fisher setup with a toggle switch. Just rewired the switch and problem was solved.

id check for power and ground at the plow headlight connectors first,if you have both replace the headlight bulbs. You should be able to find this problem pretty quickly with a test light.
