The Contractor is starting a 26 x 40 addition to my pole building Friday. I will start posting pictures as the project moves along. The estimated construction time for the building is 2 days; followed by a lot of concrete, electrical, ect..!

Picture below is the existing 40 x 60 building.

Looking good only word I can think of is envy. I would love to have a shop that big. I would love to have the shop you have out grown. Realy like the colors you used on the existing building you are going to match them up on the addition.

Looks real good man! As stated... envy. I am reassured that you can never have enough indoor space. I do think I would be very happy with a shop that size though! Be sure to post some finished pics. :)

TLC when they put the post's in they go right into the ground ? there is no sono tubes with cement piers ? There are not to many buildings like that my way most are on foundations or the cement piers.

Around here that's a standard pole building, you can pour a concrete pad in the bottom of the hole or use a premade pad (using a 5-gal. bucket bottom at 6" depth) and set it in the bottom of the hole. ;)

We have pole buildings around here that are over 35 yrs. old that the 6x6's are just setting on gravel at 36" to 40" depths  and are not sagging, leaning, sinking, ect. & it works just fine :)

The post are set on a pre-cast pad. They finished up the outside today. Tomorow I am going to level the ground and roll it in. I will post pics tomorow.

Yes, The same company that built the origional building are doing the addition. And they do travel. They are from mid Ohio, up in Amish country. That is 1.5 hours from me. Please e-mail me and I will give you further info on them.
