Ok, I'd say my question is between the toro, Ariens/deere etc. Simplicity and Honda (paddleblower types only). I realize most of the mechanics of each model are the same, however, I'm hoping some of you guy's have had different models of these paddle blowers and have found differences.
Questions.......
Does one throw the snow better??
Does one vibrate less???
Is one much lighter???
Does one hold up much better??
Thanks,
Pete

We have always used the Toro's,and they work very well, and last. The only drawback is they are a little noisy.
The Honda would be my second choice,or if noise was a concern.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about. They are a tad noisy. Also, for prolonged use, I found the toro's, both the powerlite and 3650's, vibrate more than I'd like, especially holding the thin handle.

I've never found vibration an issue.The few Honda's I have felt vibrated a little more,but the are a 4 stroke,maybe that's why.

I'm thinking about picking up a 3650 . I tried my neighbors and It worked ok . as with any two stroke it's noisy . Neighbor is thinking about picking up a two stage maybe I will buy the 3650 from him ?
How does the Honda compare with the 3650 . It cant run at the same RPM , so it wouldnt throw as well ?

I use a Honda 520 and had no problems at all. I really like the chute turning design. Easy to switch directions or go from 26 foot discharge to barely past the machine in one easy hand motion.
One night I broke the shear pin on my Honda 2 stage 928 with dual track drive in a 10" storm. I fired up the Honda 520 and it moved through the 10 inches of snow very nicely. The 4 stroke engine kept up nicely at a slow heel to toe walking speed.

we use 1 3650, 2- 2650 and 2 honda 621. They all work pretty much equal. But the toros are alot lighter and get pulled off the truck alot more. So much so that one of the 2650's that is less than a year old already had the paddles and scraper bar replaced.

I just bought a Toro3650. I shopped all the big hardware stores in Denver and liked it the best. My 9hp MTD track drive is too heavy for 75% of what we do. I needed something my 15 year old son could manage easily. I will tune up and stash the track blower for the big storms and use the Toro for most storms.:D

I have the Toro Powerlite 3.25 horse. That little machine is great. It is so easy to lift off the truck and manuever. It matches up well with my Toro 5.5 horse. Works great for sidewalks and is easy on fuel. Going to buy another one in a few weeks. The two stagers are going to be obslolete with the big single stages being just as powerful.

another powerlite & 2450 here :shades
One Powerlite and a old.. S-200. No problems with either.. my only complaint would be the smell of 2 cycle exhaust.
