I just had a pop up here offering a time and date manager from Gain publishing. It claims to automatically adjust my clock as needed, mine is not accurate at all. It also says I'll receive ads from time to time, not something I'm interested in. Anyone using this program?
Are there any similar programs out there that are truly free with no hitches?
Thanks!

Gain is spyware. Steer clear.
Flatbed, chances are you are running a gain program. You can download a spyware remover, which is the best solution to your problem.

Here is a free program that scans your computer for spyware, and gets rid of it. I've used it for 6 months now, and I love it. Also if you hate pop-ups, try this pop-up blocker.

Forget it,spyware sucks.
Get Ad Aware,or Spybot, and get rid of it all.
Find out why your clock isn't accurate, and fix it yourself.
I think that you probably need more than 1 spyware program. I have run Spybot, then followed by Ad-awre which picked up some more. Perhaps they are made to bypass some of their own stuff !!
More on topic... I found this link. Never used it

Yes,it's kinda like AV programs, one won't get them all.Be careful of conflicts with both Ad Aware, and Spybot, they will keep finding each others quarantined stuff, and waste your time.

Pelican, if you had any pop ups while you are here on my site, you already have spy ware my friend. I use no pop ups, and never will.
SpyBot, and Pest Patrol, I run both, and also Ad Aware.
The Pest Patrol wasn't free, and it did not find anything that the other 2 didn't.
An yes, spyware sucks!

I should add that if anyone wants to know the time, from an atomic clock the federal government uses, you can check it at:

Here is a link to the Google Toolbar, this works well to block popups.

I didn't get the pop up through this site, it was on the link to the Oshkosh picture. I'm glad I checked with you all, something about the offer made me suspicious.
