Jason, I can't believe you sold out for a ... FORD :jk Way nice truck. My #2 is a '97. It is nice but not that nice. Use it wisely and it should serve you well... :)

Sweet truck ! It looks almost new.

As far as a plow,I'd go with a Blizzard.I think it would do great on the subdivision roads, and you can take so much in one pass.A Sidewing (like your other truck) would also be a big benefit. They do have an under dump\body mount for C&C trucks.

Another option is to keep the Western, and use a set of wings to reduce spillage, and move more snow off the road.

Jason, i think you know that there is only 1 plow for me,and its the Blizzard. I dont know how rugged the front axle in that 450 is,but if its got a 5500 or higher front axle GAWR id go with an 8611.If not the 810 should do fine. The blizzards scrape excellent, they are very productive, you will get a lot of work done in less time, and just think with an 8611 it will literally move snow like a loader in the bucket scoop position. You might want to check with Jerre,he may know more about your truck since its an aftermarket 4wd conversion,Im sure he can tell you if it can take the 8611 or not.Id go with whatever Jerre recommends,he DID tell me i could go home with one of those 8611's on my Dodge, Im still wondering if I should have went with it instead.

On the front axle its a Dana 60 with a 5000lb gw so I think it would be a Blizzard 810. Here are pictures with the plow!

nice truck! it's funny to see a development that doesn't have curbs on the main roads. can't even build them around here without them. (i'm not a developer though, lol)

It is an awesome truck.........great pusher too!!!

I thought that the older F-Superdutys only came in 4x2 and not in 4x4. Did you change it to a 4x4? But otherwise I think it looks great.
Jason

CraftyBigDog
01-17-2005, 12:16 PM
Yeah from what I have been told they did come 4X2 then a conversion was done so thats all I know! Other guys on the board know about it! Thanks guys for the compliments!

Stik208
01-17-2005, 02:15 PM
Its good that you have the conversion. I would never ever buy a 4x2. I think that they should have made those Superdutys in a choice of 4x4 or 4x2. You sure are lucky to get one in that great of shape.
