I am starting this thread so that people can show off their Truck signs and Graphics.

Some guys use simple lettering while others go full tilt, and I want to see them all. One suggestion, they should be closeups of the artwork and lettering, not a distant shot of the whole truck.

before I try to start posting some pics on here what is the max. size on this site. That way I only have to resize once.

I like the new one. The checkered rocker panel is very catchy. Kind of like having your lot plowed by a race car! How much did that cost to get the checkerboard? Is it painted or vinyl?

wyldman
11-11-2003, 09:41 PM
The checkboard is black 3M vinyl, with airbrushed lightning accents.Normally a whole truck done is about $2000.00

I might go with a full wrap next year, where the entire truck is wrapped in a huge vinyl picture.

Snoworks nice lettering job. Wyldman I would love to see pics of your truck with the full wrap.

wyldman
11-12-2003, 08:13 AM
It will probably be spring before i do a full wrap on any of our trucks, and it will probably just be mine.

I'll see if i can get some pics of one that my sign guy did a full wrap on.

Here's the same shot in the dark with flash. I switched to reflective vinyl for added safety, plus anyone at an intersection I pass by gets an eyeful!

Both doors, front fenders, a billboard for my headache rack plus some little license plate sized signs on the tailboard ran just under $600, including aluminum for the billboard and small signs.

The reflective vinyl is a few bucks more than the regular, but I think it's well worth it!

Hey guys and gals, just wanted to bring this topic back to the surface, and too see if anyone has any new pictures of their signs. Mine are magnetic with 5-7 year vinyl letterring. The were really inexpensive, costing only $90 a set.

Well I had one of my magnetic signs blow off the other day so that rflective vinyl like pelican has will be next. BTW the signs ony lasted a couple months at most, they were brand new,and around 116 bucks.

Pelican

You have to be careful with magnetic signs causing damage to your sheet metal as well. Moisture almost always gets trapped underneath them causing the slightest nick or scratch in the paint to become a rust blister. This would be amplified in the harsh salty environment we work in.

Remove the sign and wipe down the door when it's not needed.

I used Pelican's idea and sprang for the reflective material when getting these door signs. The design doesn't stand out from a distance, but it adds some reflective qualities which I think helps with safety.

Oops, forgot to attach.

Lawn Lad
12-29-2003, 08:18 AM
A little further away shows that the image blurs with the reflective material.

Just bringing this thread back to the forefront to give those of you who haven't posted a pic of your truck art/ graphics/ signs another chance to post them.

As soon I I finalize my design and a few other things happen, I will post mine.:D

Here's mine. Just had them installed yesterday. Since I'm doing plowing and home inspections along with my full time job, I thought this would be the best for my situation.

They are vinyl. They took my business card and duplictaed the layout and colors.
