Power cable

A guy I plow with has had his heavy guage black and red power cables short out where they plug togather, this has happened twice now, local dealer said it may be a bad ground, funny thing is they replaced the first one. Any ideas what is causing this?

if he hasnt already, make sure plug is clean of debree and use dielectric grease on them, i had that happen top me about 5 years ago, it never did it again. make sure he is getting a good tight fit with the connectors them selves also.

just had to replace my power and the 13 pin connector. the power cord ground was bad. it was so bad that the plow was grounding through the pin springs and melted them.
my thirteen pin connector had a broken wire just out side of the plug on the truck side. must be a common problem boss sells a repair kit for it.
