Ive never used liquid de-icer and have been reading some old posts regarding various types and application methods. Since im just starting out, im not sure wether to offer this or not.

Can you help me to understand under what conditions liquid de-icer is better used than salt?

Is it more effective at melting that last 1" of packed snow/ice that generaly forms on the surface as people walk/drive?

I'd like to offer as much as possible to my customers, providing for the best ice-management so as not to dissapoint any of them. Should I offer liquid de-icer and if so what sort of beginner setup would you recommend?

Here is our story on how we got started with liquids.

We have never used salt. Too much environmental controversy around here. We use mag as a pre-treat almost exclusively. This year we switched to Caliber. (mag and vegetableproduct) Works a little better and more environmentally friendly. Small cost increase. email or pm if you have more specific questions.
