We are already comitted w/1 plow session under our belt so far so good. Have 20yr. experience w/84 ck20 and 84Meyer 71/2' blade. Life was good. Minimal problems and moved a lot of "residential snow".

Anyway, if there others out there using this brand and style, this board appears to be a good place to discuss problems and solutions.

First change was in the flow control valve for drop speed. It seemed to come down hard enough to crack concrete. Installed a Fenner P/N FC-1.7. Did the trick. Now we will see if any other modifications to the truck or plow are necessary.

Enough for now, lets see if any body salutes.

We have looked at the C plow a few times. One thing we wonder about is when you flip the blade to drag away from a garage, don't the plow markers smack the garage door?

I thought that as well, and I think the earlier models did, but I saw some materials on the plow this year and they have moved the markers to the hinge part of the plow, so they stay upright when the plow folds over. I guess it is not really marking the front edge of the plow but you get an idea anyway!. Still have not seen one in person though.

Their website shows the markers laying flat on the ground pointing in front of the plow though.. so I'm still not sure !

a couple of guys around here run the C plows. I know they use them for condo corps. not so much for driveways so I'm not sure how they fair with the markers against the garage door but I know they're thrilled with the performance.

GM at the shop I used to run bought a C plow, only had it one season before the shop moved out of state, but that winter it worked great. I n reality it got no closer to our OH doors than our standard 8' straight blade but it did have down force so it could scrape it cleaner.

He loved the fact it could fold it over goign down the hwy for minimal air obstruction to the grill. I loved how accessible and basic the hyd system was. I fif ever did have a problem, servicing would be easy as pie...it's set up just like a dump trailer electric over hyd system is with a white poly holding tank for the fluid and lines going to the motor.

Seemed like a very nice set-up, but without knowing how it's faired over the years it's hard to stand behind the durability issue.
