Anyone running the Blizzard air deflector on their plow? My plow lifts up higher than the Fisher I had and I was concerned about lack of airflow on the highway when raised. My dealer though it would be a waste of money so I wanted to see if anyone has used one and found out it was a waste. Thanks.

Joey, since you have a diesel, dont worry about airflow, the diesels dont need much, they run cool, and have huge radiators. The guys with gas motors are the only ones having cooling trouble running hi speeds with the blade up.

Good point. It does give better heat with the plow up though.

Plus the air foil will direct the salty water into your engine area, and help rust it out faster.
Get a deflector for your plow

I have the rubber deflector on both of my 810's and wold not be without it. If you get the deflector just be sure to put in on with the curl down. The installer put it on with curl up on my F-450 and even though it is a PSD the temp gauge was going crazy and the clutch fan was in and out alot more than usually. Only good thing was I know the gauge moves past the middle now..... I flipped it and all is fine now.
I thought the air deflector was only for the taller moldboad on the 8611???

I know this thread is about the 810 but, I have found that when traveling on the highway with the 8611 fully raised I have the temps rise fairly quickly. I had to slow to about 40mph to prevent a melt down and everything was fine there after. This is in conditions that are above freezing and during the storm yesterday while on the highway the temps didn't rise at all, but it was about 8 degrees at the time. So I will be considering the air ram.
