Sonjaab yes we got some snow here about 4-6" with 30mph plus winds. I think Bill got a little more and your area as well might have seen more. Sorry you missed itplowing!

Well, I didn't take my camera with me when I left so I have no pics, but here is a brief synopsis of my day....
I started with a call for arcing wires for the fire department. Responded there and let the truck warm up. When I left there I told the guys I would see them on the next call- a car accident. Little did I know how accurate I would be- about an hour later I was back at the station for a car pole- at the end of my road- snapped the pole, and closed the road down that separates most of my acounts!!!!!!! so I had to do some massive re-routing and had quite a road trip to get around the damage. M southern most accounts had about 4-6" of snow, ut I had to deal wth drifting since they are both near open fields- I had to go back and hit them both three times for drifts. My northern most accounts had upwards of 8" on the ground, and I'm sure they had more accumulation, but the wind was blowing pretty hard- like Joe said- 30mph winds. It was definitely lake effect- it turned the Interstate into an unpassable mess- several cars into the ditch, about half of the 25-30 calls for the local departments that cover 81 were for rollovers from people going too fast in bad condidtions- the plows could not keep up with the drifting, and at times teh snow fall. I was out at about 8am, and didn't get home til 7:15 pm, picked up three new accounts, and didn't get home til about 7:15- got changed and cleaned up real quick to go back out to a party, but took the plow truck and did cleanup on the way home for my commercial accounts. Now today I have to type up my notes and sort out the billing for those who didn't pay yet.

Oh, and I also have to try and catch up here to see what I missed ! LOL!

Only 4" Sonjaab? I just got in- we ended up with about 8" by midnight, and forecast for 5-9" more by 7am. There is another band brewing out over Lake Ontario headed our way. I'm getting ready to set the alarm and grab a few zzzzz's before going out at 4:30 to start all over again. Supposed to be done by 4pm tmo, but then by 4pm Sun we are supposed to be in the middle of the first Nor'easter. Looks like a long weekend for sure!!!

On a good note- stopped at two businesses today right on my route that are getting terrible service, dropped off my card, and both places were very interested!! Looks like I could be adding two more commercial accounts- only 4-5 more and I'll have the whole block wrapped up for season round work!!! I love snow season and when guys give poor service!! Especially when all my accounts have nice clean lots by the end of the snow fall!!!

Things are looking up!!!

Got one more thing brewing on the back burner- but that will be sub work for someone else for the winter, and green work for me in the summer, HE HE HE HE HE HE- I just love these fly by nighters that do shoddy work!!!

From what WIXT is saying were supposed to have up to 10" by night fall, and all together up to 24" by the end of the storm!!

Looks like I will need to get my tractor out and get ready to move some banks back!!

I will also be calling my buddy with his 6' snowblower to give me a hand. If we get all this snow it will defintely be, loooooooooooong, tiring, FUN!!!, and make for some good pics!!!

If it's not urying us then I'll be there- otherwise we'll do it after the storms- when we will all need some unwind time!!

I wonder if the bartender could whip up a Snowplow drink?

Bummer........Out doing push backs and cleanups and
pushing the white gold out back on my field.

Messed up and got hung up BAD! My chains and winch
wouldn't reach anything to pull myself out...........

Nobody around either so I had to call my bud to come
with his tow truck from up the street.
20 bucks for a pull was cheap and back on my merry way!

BTW: Its only FAIR I paid him for a PULL.............
I DO plow his driveway and he pays me a fair price....

Wow! How much does the plow weigh, it must be pretty heavy if you had 450# in the back already! Does the jeep have a 2.8l or a 4.0l? My buddies jeep was pretty soft in the front, we never tried to hang a plow on it, I've never seen a chero with the plow lifted, so I guess I don't have any reference as to how it should sit.
