Hi guys I jusy found your site and it is awesome. I used to run a Meyers since 1978 Great Plows!! Last one was a 8'6" contractor. Anyway I just went with a Blizzard 810 and love everything about it! Is there a way to make it lower faster? The shift, angle, raise are all fast but the lowering is awful slow any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

It can easily be adjusted by hand, right on the manifold. There is a small valve you can turn to adjust drop speed.

Mike,
The plow drop speed is adjusted by this dial. Clockwise decreases drop speed, counterclockwise increases drop speed

NOTE::::

By changing this you also change the lifting speed.

Faster plow drops the slower it lifts.

Dropping it hard will shake the snow off it too.

Lawngodfather,

did not know that about changing raise speed, Thanks.
Dave

Also, what would you recommend taking as extra parts for the 810? I know they have an emergency kit out do you think it is worth the money, or should I just order parts separate?
Thanks again

If I can't here it hit, it doesn't drop fast enough for me.

Raising the plow is in my rythem. As I come up top the pile, I start to raise plow then when truck stops it is either part way or all the way up. Then when I back up, plow is up. This makes up for a slower raise time, and speeds your transition time up.

Parts kit....I don't have one.

My buddy who also has an 810 has one.

I guess spare hose(s)

Fluid

One thing to keep with you, big ass pin to lock plow in the raised position so if something breaks you can lock it up for transport.

I hate when the plow just drops to the ground. I like it to be smooth and kinda slow.
