I sold my X blade to a member of this site, so off to buy my 810. I called my local Blizzard dealer and he had 1 left. He said he has an order but can't get them for awhile. He says a guy from Omaha, NE called lookin for one. I gave him a deposit very quickly. I will be out of a plow for 3 days going in between plows. Hope it don't snow then. I get it installed on the 22nd. I will get some pics up when this all goes down.

Sorry to disappoint ya but several dealers still have 810's in stock so don't think you bought the last one.

Today ,I saw 2 810's mounted on Chev trucks in Westboro Ma. The Chev dealer has the trucks out front waiting to be sold . First time I have seen a truck dealer with Blizzard on new trucks waiting to be sold .

Sounds like the dealer wanted to make a quick sale to me. Kind of like telling someone looking at your used car that another guy is on the way with cash. Eliminates any negotiations.

My local dealer had maybe 6 of them in crates last week. May have been on hold for installs but they were there.

Bill ,the one on the pick-up is an 860 . But still, it's cool to start seeing them on a dealers lot. The one on the dump is the one I tried before I bought mine and I got sold. When you see one at first you think to your self it looks like a nice plow., But after trying it all you can say is cool.:D

Joe when you say "local dealer do you mean Pro Image? Just curious as to how to define "local" ;) . BTW might get a chance next weekend to try yours out. :drinkup

I guess local is off a bit, 45 minutes to be exact.
I can't wait to use it. Think snow.

We will see what happens. When I watched channel 5 tonight, I got the feeling that he was leaning a bit more toward rain than snow. He was talking about the chance of a white christmas and said we have 2 shots but it did not look too good.

I expect the models to go back and forth between snow and no snow but this one looks pretty good from so far out....Off shore low (http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/analysis/namer/gfs/12/images/gfs_850_180s.gif)

If you dont mind me asking, what did you pay for the 810 complete? My local dealer has a few left but seems to be high, $5100 installed with tax! Is this in the ballpark?
Thanks

Right on the $. $4685, plus tax and it would have been $350 to install.

I do not care if I pay more, the dealer is 20 minutes away and open during storms. My Fisher dealer is over 1 hour away. The cheapest price is not always the best deal.

NYRookie,
you are right on the money,,, I didn't even know my dealer sold blizzards til this year and he is 10 minutes away. Would have bought it from him whether he was high or low on price.
Dave

I am gonna start the install soon, doesn't look to bad. A few things are a little cloudy but I think once I get started everything should fall into place

I never called around as that is the closest dealer to me I think. I called he said the price I said see you on friday. I installed it myself to see how it works and made a few modifications to it while I was at it.
The dealer I use has a 810 all set up and in stock to use if I had a breakdown and he can't fix it. I hope I don't need it but nice guy to do business with.
One thing I hate is the mount for my truck. I think it is marginal at best. It has no side to side bracing and is the last thing I need to modify to be happy with the Blizzard line.
