Is there anybody in or around Toronto (Canada) with a spare truck to rent??? I have two 2004 F-350's with plows and both transmissions are dead. One is at the dealer, with the transmission taken off and parts are not available and the other one died today! Only 10,000 km (6000 miles) on them. Ford said that both have a planatary part that failed, Nice. One was work truck, the other one was a spare!
Need this truck for tonight, could you e-mail me to let me know if you have one available? And tell me your price! I plow in Barrie, ON

Thank you!

Wyldman coming through again! You truly cease to amaze me, and I mean that sincerely. With your wealth of knowledge and your pleasant nature (with the exception of that evil looking photo :evil ).
It's great to see that there are still people such as yourself whom are willing to help out.
Business, hopefully you will get those trucks back soon. It's BS what happend and that it affects your business as it has. Keep all of your time, receipts, etc logged and call your insurance company, if you have a business continuation policy or rider. You may even present it to Ford and see what they will do to reimburse you. One truck ok (even as much as that sucks), but two at the same time, for the same thing is not acceptable.

I agree John. I dont know what is going on with Ford lately. It seems their always screwing something up. They make beautiful looking trucks, but I always wondered about the quality and how good they really were. I cant say that I am impressed. Sure all makes have their problems, but transmission problems are BIG problems in my book. Anyway, hope they get it taken care of for you, and make it stronger or better somehow so it wont just break down again due to same problem. :headwall Mike

Thanks for the welcomes bruce, mike and wyldman. We were able to help business out this morning, it was a pleasure meeting him.
They are calling for more snow again for the next few days. Business, give the office a call or beep my manager if you need a hand again. I believe you said the parts would not be here till Thursday. Happy to help.

MOST plowing contractors keep proving to each other and everyone else that we are some of the most decent people in the world for sticking together and helping each other out in a time of need. As well as helping others (older people etc.) when they need us too.
Makes me proud to call myself a part of this group.

Friend of mine bought a new Ford one ton dump truck and his tranny went out at 9000 kms. His truck was out of service for 6 weeks. Not a happy camper.
