My ceiling is 12'2" & the lift is 12'4"
I have the top of it in-between the trusses ;) with the shut-off bar at 12' just below the trusses.
I have 6'3" of head room under the frame of the 57 with the car pads & 6'9" with the truck pads. With my Chevy truck on the lift with the truck pads I have 6'3" of head room.

Looks good !
Have you had it inspected ? For your own safety (and others),please get a hoist company to inspect it.There are a lot of little safety items that need to be in good working order. The last thing you need is it coming down on someone.
Is the concrete floor capable of supporting it long term ? The hoist company should be able to tell you what you will need to be safe.
While they are there, ask them to go over the maintenance and adjustments with you as well.

This lift was in-use in a new car dealership till I took it down. It was & has been inspected every year since it was installed at the Dealership. I have records from them & talked to the lift repair company. The only reason the lifts (9) were comming down is they added onto the dealership & went with all new 2-post underground units in the new part of the building.
Is the concrete floor capable of supporting it long term ?
When I built my shop, I had the concrete mixed at 6-1/2 bag mix with limestone, wire & rebar which I installed & poured at 6-1/2" to 7" thick. My dad was a contractor (20yrs.) & taught Vocational Building Trades (25 yrs) & I grew up working construction (I'm 47). My dad knows the redi-mix company owner & he the owner made sure of my mix. The shop floor is 15 yrs. old & still doesn't have a crack.
As for the concrete anchors, I used a larger diameter then they suggested as we didn't think they would hold-up long term. They said it was over kill but it wouldn't hurt.
ask them to go over the maintenance and adjustments with you as well.
I talked to them & I got to say I'm more of a maintenance nut then they are :D
Thanks for the concern as may guys that look at this may not know or understand all that is involved in putting up a lift. Anybody can put up a lift but it might fall on them too, if they don't know what they are doing. Or know how to use the lift safely.

I know,I CAN'T STAND working on the floor.I wouldn't do it if I didn't have hoists available.
I think all garages should come with them as standard equipment. :D

we have a two post lift at our shop and its such a great thing to have. oil changes, fixing mowers etc......always great to have.
Put our 2 post in 3 years ago. First time I put a truck on it it cost me a little over $800. Damm I never knew there were so many parts under the truck that could go wrong at the same time and not be noticed when on a creeper. LOL
if it wernt for that damm lift I would never had to repair what I didn't find.
Got to love thoese lifts. I concider it one of the most important tools I have.
Yours looks great You will love it. rase it 4' and put a piece of 1" plywood on it and all of a sudden you have a table.
