I'm looking forward to the same storm- it's going to draw down some cold air from your neck of the woods and give us some lake effect snow. The local weather geussers are calling for 4-6" of snow in my neck of the woods. I can't wait!!
LOL- sorry guys, just had to tease you some more!

Just checked the weathr maps and I can see the rain changing to snow, should start to roll in sometime after midnight. Looks like I won't have to go out in the early am, but instead looks like I'll be dealing with all of those wonderful Saturday shoppers!!! Oh Joy!!

I just got in from using a friends hot tub, and when we left we noticed the temp had dropped- so I looed at the rad, and sure enough it's on its way!! It's in Buffalo no, and headed towards us- looks like the cold air will come right over the lake with some wind and kick the old lake effect machine into gear!!!
I'm Ready!!!

Well, here we go again guys- I love living in this area!!!
LOL!!URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BINGHAMTON NY
330 PM EST SUN NOV 30 2003

MADISON NY-NORTHERN ONEIDA NY-ONONDAGA NY-SOUTHERN ONEIDA NY-
330 PM EST SUN NOV 30 2003
...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH
FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON AND MONDAY NIGHT...
A DEVELOPING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK THROUGH THE UPPER GREAT
LAKES REGION TONIGHT, AND DOWN THE SAINT LAWRENCE RIVER VALLEY MONDAY
AND MONDAY NIGHT. THIS LOW WILL SWING A COLD FRONT SOUTH OF THE
REGION BY MONDAY MORNING. A COLD WEST TO NORTHWEST FLOW OF AIR WILL
DEVELOP MONDAY BEHIND THIS FRONT. AS THIS COLD AIR ENCOUNTERS THE
WARMER WATERS OF LAKE ONTARIO...LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL
DEVELOP BY MID MORNING MONDAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT.
THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SINGLE INTENSE LAKE
EFFECT SNOW BAND WHICH COULD IMPACT AREAS ALONG THE THRUWAY CORRIDOR
FROM SYRACUSE THROUGH UTICA. IF ONE SINGLE LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND
FORMS...HEAVY SNOW LIKELY WOULD OCCUR IN THIS REGION AND IMPACT
TRAVEL CONDITIONS. IN ADDITION...IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE LAKE EFFECT
SNOW BAND SETS UP FARTHER NORTH.
THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR AT LEAST 7 INCHES OF SNOW IN A 12 HOUR
PERIOD IN THE WATCH AREA FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT.
THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE POTENTIAL STRENGTH OF THE
LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND AND WHERE IT WILL SET UP.
A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS
POSSIBLE, BUT NOT IMMINENT. AT THE TIME, THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR
SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW. FUTURE DRIVING CONDITIONS MAY BECOME
HAZARDOUS, SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND
LISTEN FOR POSSIBLE WARNINGS OR ADVISORIES.

We went out about 2 am Monday night, and finished up around 9 am.4" of light powder, very easy to plow.It was our first good run of the season, besides salting. No major mechanical breakdowns, just a few quirks that never seem to show up during pre-season checks.
