I would go for the poly. No painting, No snow sticking. I have 4 poly's we have never replaced any poly panels.

I now have 2 poly plows after having 2 steel, I'll never go back.

On my 3rd Poly and would not use steel again, I had one of the fisrt Myers poly's and it is still running around. The poly blade frames have more steel in the back and they may even weight a little more than a steel blade.
My Boss is 3 years old and the color has held up good...

I vote for the poly - after running steel, the poly has many advantages, like the ones already said.

i have the steel V and works fine for me. i don't like the idea of a plastic blade. that's just my opinion.
i apply some silicone to the blade every so often and the snow rolls fine.

We have all steel blades. Perhaps poly would be worth trying, but I like to keep things the same. You may not have to paint the poly mulboard but the black ribbing will need paint. Now you'll be masking off the mulboard to paint the ribbing. With our steel blades we wire wheel the rust spots in spring and paint w/out worrying about overspray. Yes there is still taping off with the A frame/springs, etc. As for snow sticking - if you get in the habit of cleaning your blade when you pull out of the pile by bringing your blade back from the scoop in two or three quick movements you likely won't have much snow on the blade.
