Well....it took me four or five days of searching, but I found you!

I learned alot from all of you and was relying on being able to learn more, as I have never even plowed with my truck yet (maybe tonight though), so I was kind of bummed out when the "other" board self destructed.

Well you were wrong wyldman it didn't happen on the twelfth we will hit 200 today though.
I see you were the first to top 100 posts, with jcurtis a close second and snowplowjay pulling up the rear. that's a lot of key wear. Good thing keybosrds are cheap.
I know I have no social life, but I also know I have lots of friends at SC. Although I was informed that I was being trashed in the chatroom last night, oh well my dog still likes me. I love this site.

I just did some figuring.

If we figure this site has been open for 6 days (might be less than that, I'm not sure what time it opened), so far, members have been joining at a rate of 35/day. They've been posting at a rate of 409/day. There's a similar site somewhere, I forget where, that if you do the same calculations has numbers something like 4.7 joined members/day posting 80 posts/day over it's several year lifespan.

That's some pretty impressive growth here!!

i have to commend you guys. i race motorcycles in the summer and i belong to several chat groups concerning bikes. however this site is by far the most informative well managed site i have seen. i find it to be very useful being that this is first winter to plow with somthing other than four-wheeler or shovel....cudos great site

i can not believe how young this site is. i guess i found it in the begginning. i am not sure what other site you guys keep refering too but as far as i am concerned this site is the best and most informative i have seen. it is cool that a site that deals with snowplowing is so up to date its obvious that you take pride in what you do. i am only plowing for fun but i would be happy to pay one of you to plow my properties. i have been too many sites dealing with many different issues and all of those sites pale in comparison. too bad the rest of the world cant be as jazzed about what they do for a living as some of you guys. keep up the good work...john

Why are you all so surprised at how fast we are gaining members? I was a little surprised about the initial 200, but it seems normal, as far as growth from there, this time if year. If it was June I would be amazed, but not now. I sent an announcement out to 500 subscribers of my Snowplowing Newsletter. If they all came, we would have many, many more members. I do recognize a handful from that list that have joined since I sent the announcement though.

The main page of Snowplowing-Contractors.com and ChucksChevyTruckPages.com combined, have had well over 15,000 views since the links to these Forums were added to those pages.

That is just my point. I have been in the top 5 on Google using just about every snow related term for the past 2 years. Depending on the term, I might even appear 3 or 4 times in the top 10 or 20.

First off Welcome to SC.com!

The owner of another site had publicly posted that his site was listed "highest" at Google. Chuck simply posted the actual Google search results so that others could see for themselves. That's all. It's his site and he can post what he wants to basically, and I'm not sure how that "is not prudent". :beatsme

500 plus other members have registered without a problem or comment such as yours. The site has actually grown faster & bigger than Chuck ever really intended or expected, so validating all of the members & avoiding some of the lurkers really hasn't been a problem here so far.
