I was told that a new rubber deflector for a 7.5 straight blade is $200!!! Is this correct? I cannot beleive that a piece of rubber and some flatiron could cost this much or is the dealer alittle high?Anyone know of any other places to buy one online? Thanks in advance.

I purchased some used conveyor belting from a manufacturer for (I think) $10. Then just had my plow dealer/service guy drill through it and a flat piece of iron and bolt them together to the top of the plow. Very cheap, and more durable than many snowplow manufacturer setups. 1/2" thick conveyor belt is what I use. Also have used conveyor belt (1") for the rubber deflectors on my wings.

yeah. I didn't realize how much they charged for this deflector. I called up my friend, who works for the place that I bought the plow from, I told him to just order me the rubber deflector. the next thing i know, I have a bill for 250 dollars. I was kinda mad, but still installed it. now I know for next time, for my next plow, I'll just make my own. Live and learn I guess.........

Cutntrim That is what I used on my truck the belt works good and I had got my for free which worked out even better but cutting it for the size I needed that was a pain.

I have used conveyor belt for all of my deflectors. We get the stuff for free, so the only cost is the flat stock and some hardware. Here's an old thread of one of ours that I made.
