I like the first two the best, but they are much pricier. I built my own rack for just $35 in materials, just a little labor, and time...

If ya have access to a welder making your own is definatly better not only because its cheaper also ya get it to look exactly how ya want it...

Is that photo the complete unit . It doesnt look high enough to allow carried items to clear the truck roof? If you have access to a tubing bender and a notcher you can make one slick unit too

I have a question about mounting the backrack on a Ford. I don't like mounting it over the OEM plastic. Does anybody make a Stainless steel covers to replace the plastic?
