On the front hanger plates, three bolts come out of The bumper mounts, and are replaceed by the kits bolts. There is a 4th bolts shown to go into the holes on the frames bend to the rear of the bracket plate. The instructions show a bolt going into the hole, but theres no way to get a nut on the back side..so we used on of the original bolts which had a piece of metal made to it to keep it from turing. These went in first, from th einside of the frame rail out.

The support arm on the drivers side has two bolts..one goes straight down through the frame, no problem. But..
The other is made to come from the inside of th eframe out (special bolt in kit)..very hard to do with no access hole.
So we welded a weldng rod to it, and fished it thru a small hole about 6 inches away..took 10 minutes.

You can see the indetations in the front cover...this is where it can be 'notched"..but we removed the thin metal brace from behind it (only purpose is to firm th ecover..no impact resistance)..then the mount was pursuaded up with a jack and bent the cover in in all the right places.
Having a heat gun nearby is a good idea...but mine was at my shop, a few miles down the road. Theres another area where the cover hits under the bottom..I'll notch that sisnce it cant bee seen..pics later.

It's fun to install plows. I had my 810 put in today. I would had love to install my new toy, but no time to do it with all the leaves we still have to clean.

Heres where it taps into the turn and park signals..two wires on drivers side..only turn on passenger side.
My Dodge uses a green wire, pink stripe for the Lt turn;
Black w/ yellow stripe for Park,
Green w/ pink stripe for Rt turn..

Theres a toggle switch for the headlights which is supposed to mounted in th truck somewhere. But I decided it would be cool to mount it on the control itself..then unplug both to remove from th etruck.
So I sandwiched it between the mount plate and the plastic joy stick "box"...one hole went on the blizzard control bolt...I drilled a second hole for the toggle sw. plate..so it would move around in use..then inserted a plastic pop rivet through it....then "shimmed" the reast with washers so it would be flush...

All but the slight technical difficulties..the headlights dont work! :headwall
We had slight problems with ours too.
No headlights...the high-beam indicator on the instrument panel was illuminated even though they wern't on (must mean the headlamps don't work??). The fuses for the headlamps were blown. We finally realized that one of the adapters was installed backwards:mad:
Good luck fixing it. Install looks good.

Here it is unhooked. So easy to pu ton and off, its actually fun. The "power hitch" reaches under the center beam of the mount and pulls the plow into the truck, then the pins slide right into place...no binding at all!

Were the Timberians hard to put on..or should I ask were the stock bump stops hard to get off?

Really not that bad.
Working on one side at a time, ...
To get the stock bumpers off, I took the front tire off, and jacked the truck up by the frame behind the fron twheels...with jack stands, but left the jack in place, so th efront suspension would drop as much as possible. Then pryed down on the stock bumper with a big screw driver, once i tmoved a little, I angled the screw driver down, and nailed it a few times with a hammer, they came out pretty easy this way.
To install the new ones, I took them apart, placed the new rubber mount under the original bracket holder and placed pieces of wood under it...I then removed the jack stand, and blocked the front axle, and then I could lower the jack so that the weight of the truck would mash the new rubber mounnts in place..Took a few times and changing out the wood blocks, but both sides only took about an hour.
After the new "rubbers" are mashed in, the rest of the assembly is held in place by a bolt, which started easy on one side, but the other took a few minutes.
