I was thinking the same, Jay. Never heard of those tires, though. Picked up a set of Pirelli Scorpions for my 2500HD today, they are sweet.

I have never seen them in a truck tire, but have seen them for cars. From what I hear too, they are the best. Isn't it Nokian, not Nokia ? sp?

It is Nokian Tires.
Here is their website, and they do have truck tires.

I have never used the truck tires, but have used their passenger car tires.Good stuff. The biggest problem is local availability.
The Cooper Discoverer M&S is a better all round snow and ice tire for plow trucks, and is readily available.

Nokia Hakkapeliitta - I have these on my 97 Jetta, if it wasn't lowered it would run circles around most FWD's in the snow. Absolutely awesome snow tires and I've tried Blizzaks, Toyos, you name it.
Ran a set of them several years ago, wasn't impressed. They are directional and you could get into a pile you couldn't back out of. Had them in 225/75-16 on our K1500 and had 235/75-15XL Cooper Weathermasters on our first S-10. Same size blades on both trucks and the S would push more than the 1500 would before breaking traction.

Had a friend just get a set on his F350. ran about $129.00 per tire. says they are supposed to be great, just wanted some input on them. My F350 is due for sneakers, and am just comparing options. ;)

I bought 4 of them! They're on my truck right now. I was told they were one of the best tires around for snow and that I will love them. Just need some snow so I can try them out!
I just tried to attach a picture, but the file is too big. I'll try taking some pictures of them with less bytes.

Alan brings up an interesting point about the usefullness of directional tread on a plow vehicle. They're designed to move you foreward. But for me, backing up is when I need the most traction.
