Looks like it's built pretty solid, but it does't look very versitile. Let us know what you think of it once you get a chance to use it. Just out of curiosity how much did it cost ya?

I think it was around $ 6700 canadian, installed. Blizzards are the same kind of $ but this one has fewer moving parts. Time will tell.

What's the weight and width of the plow?

8 feet wide, 733 pounds for the plow, mount kit is extra.

Well after the 14" dump of snow we got last week the scoop plow got a good workout.

It windrows just fine, angle it one way and the snow moves like made. Might have something to do with the poly moldboard.

Punching through drifts? Yeah its a bit harder as the initial push is a very full one but not really any harder than breaking through with a straight blade.

As for out and out plowing it works awesome. I've seen but never actually run a Blizzard Power Plow, but this thing flat out amazed me. Well built, really easy to stack with, easy on the truck/driver with the split trip edges, cleans up really nicely and definitely curls snow very well with the combination scoop shape and poly moldboard. It doesn't back drag quite as well as my straight blade but it still did a very nice job backdragging.

I noticed that it lifts and turns much faster than the Hiniker straight blade that I bought new last season. Even the dealer was impressed with the speed at which it moved.

Only thing I'd change/add would be a snow deflector to the top of the blade.

I'll try to get some pics of it working next event - its + 10 C or 50 F here right now so not much worry of snow today.

Maybe this plow is effective like a 810 EXCEPT it cant expand its width ? Could still save time because runnoff doesnt have to be cleaned up ? What do you think Synner? . A good comparison come frm someone who has used both .

good question BWhite. I'll ask a buddy of mine who runs Blizzards. He use to plow one of the condo sites I do. We'll see what kind of times we're both running for the property. I do like how the Hiniker has the poly, seems to curl snow much better and doesn't rust but alas I can't stretch the blade to 10 feet. I guess you win some and you loss some.

cheers.
