Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Enjoy your meals and your family time with loved ones. Don't eat to much, although I plan on eating way to much! I have been getting ahead all day, making noodles, deviled eggs, and pumpkin pie, the rest has to wait until tomorrow. Best wishes to everybody on the turkey cooking, hope it all turns out well. To anyone traveling, have a safe trip.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
I'm doing a foreign-exchange thing through my high school; as a result, I've been living in Scotland for the past four months. I'll be here until the end of December.
Thanksgiving isn't a holiday here.... worse than that, I'm living with (gasp) vegetarians!!!
Hope everyone back over there has a safe and fun holiday with their family, while I'm over here.... looking at rabbit-food on my plate.... ;)
Oh well, at least it's food.

And, where I am, they hardly ever get snow! (Edinburgh, right on the sea) :headwall

But I do turn 17 on Friday :D

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I've got a hockey game on Friday, so I can't eat tooooo much:D Just something I'd figure I'd share with you all, maybe to put things in perspective-it did for me. There is an old man, Dave, that runs the Zamboni at our arena, the guy is one of the most successfull people I've ever talked to. He played ball in the majors, and in the minors with greats, he even played against the Babe when Babe was on his way down, and he was on his way up. But anyway, his decision to make between thanksgiving and December 7th is wether or not he wants to try a lung transplant, or try to fight through it. One of his lungs is about shot, and it made me think about all the people who whine about I missed this, you didn't do that, yada yada yada-at least you don't have to make that decision.
Anyway, enough with the sappy stuff-

GO GET SOME TURKEY!!!

T'was the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep


The leftovers beckoned- the dark meat and white
But I fought the temptation with all of my
might


Tossing and turning with
anticipation,
The thought of a snack became
infatuation


So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the
door
Gazed at the fridge, full of goodies
galore


I gobbled up turkey and buttered
potatoes
Pickles and carrots, beans and
tomatoes


I felt myself swelling so plump and
so round
Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground

I crashed through the ceiling, floating
into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful
of pie

But, I managed to yell as I soared
past the trees...
Happy Eating to all-- Pass the cranberries, please.

May your stuffing be tasty,
may your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'N gravy
have nary a lump

May your yams be delicious, may your pies
take the prize

May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs

I would just like to take this moment and tell everyone Happy THanksgiving. I know things have not been the best that they could have been and people have had to make choices that they didnt want too. But I am glad to see all the people that I am used to over the past 4 years responding and enjoying the stories and expertise that can be trusted. Thanks again, everyone, for another spectacular year. I love this place!!!

Things I am thankful for.....

My children who drives me nuts but my life wouldn't be complete without them.

My family that has been through so much this year but is still able to laugh.

My husband who believes in honesty and because of that, he can always keep his chin held high.

For our friends that have always been the greatest form of support. Without true friends.....we have nothing.
