I just got my new 7.5 Boss plow last night. It was dark when I picked the truck up and today noticed something a little funny. The 2 cylinders that move the balde side to side have a blackish color to the piston rod instead of the chromed finish in the brochure. Is this just a coating that will wear off eventually or should I remove it somehow? My dealer is closed til Monday.Another question is-how do you adjust these lights-loosen up both bolts attaching the headlites to the bar? Thanks in advance.

That's "black chrome" on the cylinders, less pitting and corrosion resistant, easier on the seals.
So don't remove it.
As for the lights yes loosen both nuts on the bottom to aim.
Enjoy your "new" Boss plow!

If its what I think it is, a nitride finish, than there is a tradeoff.
Nitride is great, very hard and corrosion resistant, but you can't rechrome the cylinders if they get gouged. This is more of a problem with this $3000 industrial cylinders. I would guess with these cylinders its a worthwhile trade and you just replace the cylinder if you need to.
