Congratulations and good luck with the rest of the pregnancy- hope it is all smooth sailing!
Personally I have three boys, and custody of my two brother in laws, so there are five total ranging age from 5 to 17- and all I have to say is "THANK GOD NONE OF THEM ARE GIRLS!!!!!!"
LOL!!!
Girls are great to borrow, spoil and send home- we have "rent'a'daughters" so that my wife can recover from the testosterone overload!!!!
Great to hear everything looks fine!!

Just wanted to pass on our congrats....Hope you don't mind a few words of advice. We have 2 little "angels" of our own.
1. Start praying now for hearing loss. You'll need it when the whinning starts.
2. When she turns 8, you will turn stupid. There is nothing you can do, just learn to accept it.
3. Invest in stock for Loreal, Ms Clairol etc. The gray hairs will come in quicker than you can spot them.
4. Quiet is NOT good...she will be plotting against you.
5. Learn the mantra...."I was happy the day she was born" It will get you through many long days.
6. She really doesn't need 50 pairs of shoes...it's a myth. She will bat her eyelashes and try to convince you otherwise....stay strong!!!!
Just kidding....hope all goes well with the rest of the pregnancy.

Congratulations.
I became a father back in April.
It's really amazing to watch them grow, each day there is something new that you discover about your child.
I have a girl also and I couldn't be happier, although a boy would be a nice addition. :D
Enjoy the first few months, after that she'll grow like a weed and you'll wonder whatever happened to that little tiny baby you used to hold, I'm just starting to go through that now.
Another thing I found is that during the first few months, babies are pretty boring, but hang in, once they start to learn how to grab stuff, they're much more entertaining!
Don't forget to take lots of pictures... first smile, first laugh, first tooth, etc...
If you need any advice, we're here for ya!

Walt,
Congrats!!!! Speaking as a daughter...you will get away with far more than your wife will...pray for her sanity right around your little girl's 13th b-day.
Peter,
What an adorable little peanut!!!!!!!!! How can you bear to leave her for an instant?!?!

You have to be moer creative that that when suggesting the name to the wife... Try naming her something like Chyanne (which was a chevy truck) but sounds more tactfull than just calling her chevy :D

Tomato - congrats and good luck. I've got two boys - 1yr and 3yrs. Kids are a lot of work, and a lot of fun.
One of my buddies welcomed a baby girl this summer and named her Sierra. Try that out on your wife. :)

Thank you Jennifer. She's my little angel! The thing I love most about this business is the free time that I have to spend with her, but even away for one hour and I start to miss her.
