The two lower mount brackets are badly worn on the a-frame of my unimount. A new a-frame is about $300. I can weld on new mounting ears but I would have to have a machine shop make the new ones. If the existing ones are drilled out for the next size larger pin there would not be much material left for strength. Any ideas?

I used to cut off the old pieces, and weld on new ones.

It's not really neccessary though. The extra play doesn't hurt anything.Unless they are REALLY bad,I'd leave them alone.

Bushing isn't a bad idea.

Wyldman- You're probably right that it will be okay. It's just annoying because I see it every time I mount the plow. I think I'll contact the welding shop down the road to see what they think.

Everything is getting kinda worn on the plow. It's only four years old but it might be a good time to replace it. Always wanted a V.

After 4 years the nose of the a-frame should be about shot. It's most likely ready to fall off.You can't really see it until you remove the quadrant.Give it a once over, and then decide if it's worth keeping.

Well. Not ready yet. I have a new Daniels backblade that I'm still working the bugs out. Backup truck needs a lot of work. And I still have about 25 leaf cleanups to do. Other than that I'm rarin to go!
