I have a 7.5' unimount pro and I would like to bolt an 8' blade on instead. Can the 8' fit or are the two totally different? I haven't looked for a replacement blade yet since I didn't want to waste my time if they are incompatible.

Why not save the money and add plow wings

I've thought about wings. Seems like they would get ripped up pretty good. I saw a Meyer with them on and they hung way out there. Wish I could test drive them.

New plow blade about $700 plus any hardware you might have to cut off or replace.
Wings $200 and you still have a smaller plow with option of wider.
$700 for 6" is not worth it to me.
That's 3" more blade to plow with.
Wings will let you handle lots more snow.

For $200.00 or less add the wings.
Prow Wings give width and added capacity.
Turkey Wings give added capacith and a little width if you leave the chains loose.
Power Scoops give added capacity.
I have Pro Wings and I don't plow without them,

OK. Did a search on pro-wings. I'm convinced. Just ordered them from angelos supplies. They'll be here tomorrow along with a 100 driveway markers.
