I hope you can help me.I just picked up a used 810 for a buddy off a truck that got wrecked off season,we got it all hooked up on his f350,and the drivers side wing isnt working right. I was wondering if you might have an idea of where to go next. The pass wing works fine, but the drivers seems lazy.i dont think theres anything stuck in the box it rides in. the wing comes in slow, Goes out fine, pitches forward fine, pitches back fine, goes in slow . I think this 810 is about 2-3 yrs old,if that helps. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe its a stuck valve or try lubing the channel? kink in hose? try changing the fluid

We already changed the fluid,it wasnt that bad,but it needed it.Didnt make a difference, we followed the hoses, and they look good.In talking with the previous owner he claims it didnt do it last season. I may have to pull the wing out and check the box channel later on. With this snow we got friday were trying to scramble to fix all the "little problems" ASAP.We'd like ti get this fixed this week if possible.

If you pull both wings in at the same time, does this one stay till the other one is all the way in?

If there is a stuck valve in that manifold is it repairable ? Or does one replace the manifold . maybe it a good time to upgrade to the newest version manifold ?

It sounds to me that either ther valve is bad or the pressure relief may need to be looked at on that wing. Tee into the wing line with a pressure gauge, make the wing spike(push it up against a wall to simulate a hit), see what the pressure is set at, then let me know. You could have the pressure relief valve working against you, or a dirty control valve. Try that out and let me know.

Ok my guage is fubar,it got run over:headwall . Is there any way i can proceed without it? I was messing with it today,it goes forward, backwards and out fine, coming in it starts out ok about 4" in it slows down and hangs up. If I can get a guage what am i looking for when it hangs up?

Sounds more like something binding to me. I would think a bad valve would be slow through the whole range. Bent cylinder maybe?

Which model 810 are we talking about? Let me have the serial #.
I have had problems with the slide box cylinders having a slight bend to them.
Let me know.

Could you just remove the hoses and move it manualy to see if it's binding?

Have you checked the extension spring inside the slide box? Could be broken or weak.

John you may want to take a look at this problem......Bolt backs out on the wing extend cyl and the oring lets fluid by and the wing slide box cyl has pressure on both sides.
That will make it come back slow. Test is to remove the hose for the wing extend cyl. If fluid comes out when you hit retract then the cyl oring is blown.

You hit the nail on the head, Fred. Or even a General Manager in the dealership that does the right thing for his customers.

What's the best way to melt ice? A Blizzard. What's the best way to plow 4,000 acres? A Blizzard. Sound familiar?
Jay, if you jinxed us, I am going to be so ticked. lol
