Also what the lights adjustment? when i drive i only see about 10' in front with lights from plow?

and whats the hight of plow frame when its raised, cause its seems too low to me when i pick plow of the ground,

If the dealer already tightened to packing nut, then it's gotta be a bad cylinder.Have them replace it.

It's not uncommon for plow dealers to not aim the headlights.Since you have to go back, get them to adjust them.

The mounts are low on those trucks. You should have a set of Timbrens, and turn up the torsion bars a few turns to help with the weight of the plow.

The Timbrens replace the rubber bump stops, and will help support the extra weight of the plow.Try www.timbren.com for more info.

The torsion bars are used on GM's instead of springs. That's what holds the front of the truck up.They come off the lower control arms towards the trans crossmember, just inside the frame rails. There is an adjustment bolt on either side,at the crossmember. You can crank the bolt in (clockwise) about six turns to raise the front.

Do a search on here for both items.Lots of good info and pics.

Timbrens are replacements for your factory bump stops if you do a search on the net you'll find them for sale or you might be able to find them local for a little more at one of the plow shops in your area.

There will be some height difference from side to side.Don't worry about it.Turn the torsion bars up by counting the number of turns.Turn them in 6 turns to start. That should do the trick. You can go another 2 turns if needed.

You can them turn them back down in the spring when your not carrying the plow if you find it rides a little rough.

Thanks,
I install timbrens they where very easy, also the torsion bars i turn one 5 times (the lower one) and anoither one 2 turn (the high one) and that level my truck with less than 1/8" differnce, so i thing i stick with that for now,

toke the plow back to dealer about cylinder leak he titenit agan and said if still leaks than he will replase it,

he said that he adjusted lights when he instal plow, but they are light 10' in front of me, he told me that my truck lights must be too low, but they are perfect, how do u adjust plow light by?

thanks

Just loosen them off,and aim them so they shine a little further down the road. You don't want them too far.

You can park another car\truck beside yours, and use the headlights from it to get an idea of where to aim them.
