I have a Fisher speedcaster 500. I just bought it last year but due to my lack of maintenance on it the bottom bearing was froze I freed it up and can get a little grease in it but I think it would be best to replace it. Thats if I can get the set screw loose. I have it soaking now. I found on Angolos site they have 2 bearings that look alike but one says it is for a spreader they are priced at 12 and 13 dollars. Does anyone know which one I need to get. Or a cheaper place online to buy the bearing.

Had the same thing happen on my western.I had to heat it with a torch to get it off. I also got the replacement part from Angolos but i doubt it would be the same part you need.Check the Fisher website for the part in the technical section and compare it you should be able to match it up pretty easy.

I don't usually mess with them if they are badly siezed to the shaft (and it probably is).
Just grab a small grinder with a thin cutoff wheel, and cut it off.Grind two slots, one on each side, smack it with a hammer.and it will fall off.

Here is a link to fishers part list for the spreader the bad bearing is part 13 in the diagram.http://www.fisherplows.com/pdf/95365_020104.pdf
It looks like the same bearing as this one

It also looks like this one

The second one is a dollar more. Wonder what the difference is?
Wyldman,
A cutting blade will cut through the whole bearing assembly?
