A lot less "stuff" on the hydro units males them easier to break down. Looks to be in pretty good shape. With your rebuild you should be able to get a few more years out of it. That is smart. I know of a lot of guys who would just dump it at that point.

Nice camera work Jay.

Well it looks like the inside of the hopper, and inside the track rails is going to be PVC coated and baked. this should give it a tough rust free coating for years. I think Jay has decided on red for a color.

Are you serious Jay, I can't believe that you of all people, a die hard Yankee's fan would paint anything Red right now!! Oh maybe that is why you are thinking long and hard. Better go with that Yankee White with black pinstripping don't you think?? :haha :haha

Wow is all I can say about PVC coating on the inside of this thing! Baked on at 375 its tough as nails. The outside is getting painted today and I will have pics soon. Only thing ya might not like is the color! PVC is teal, and paint is gonna be teal too.

Okay easy on the color comments, I wanted red but it would have been 350.00 just in materials. He had this color on the shelf and its epoxy paint. Inside is pvc coated

That thing is bright, Isn't the color close to the YARDMAN Plow?
Gonna buy one to match BILL???

But ya know,
Steel sander $3200.00
Stainless steel $4200.00

Paint $350.00
Bearings $150.00
Misc nuts & bolts $45.00

Calling your buddies for making shafts and finding bearings ????

Posting the results here for every one to Comment on,

Im going to have to consult the Blizzard Aiming Manual to be sure.....................

They are not aimed since I had just pulled the headgear off the shelf and threw it on a few minutes prior............

As far as the weight pulling the front end down.....................

NOT A BIT........Remember thats a serious front end PLUS it has Timbrens all the way around..................

That truck is a great rig..............

CT18fireman
12-08-2004, 05:33 AM
Unless it has no suspension (axles welded to frame) it will move with a plow, that will be multiplied by the headlights, like aiming a rifle an inch at the truck will be feet where the lights hit the road.

From the pic they looked pointed down to much. Pet peeve of mine is poorly aimed lights. Annoying and often dangerous.
